The trek is mostly on the ridgeline and the fine crafted bamboo bridge by the locals. It is a trek which is not for the faint hearted as there are bamboo bridges made right at the edge of the cliff and looking down is not the best of the things to do. Also the creaking noise of the bamboo on your every step makes it much more interesting.

According to the legends, Mawryngkhang, the King of Stones, fell in love with a girl from another kingdom, Mawpator. A battle took place between the two, Mawpator successful injured Mawryngkhang but however, Mawryngkhang succeeded in beheading Mawpator. His head fell down in the river gorge. And Mawryngkhang, today stands as the famous rock.
